BASIC 2010  SUMMER CAMP INFO

Starting July 1st GG will be offering an exciting new Marina del Rey Mother’s Beach location for traveling families and locals alike. This come in addition to our Venice Art Center in Venice.  Come visit us from 9-3pm and participate in our fun beach electives like martial arts, yoga, beach volleyball, mosaic making, hula dance, jewelry making, beach soccer, fairyland workshops, music, beach games, arts and crafts and more. In the afternoon, campers may join us at the Santa Monica pool or beach. A variety of field trips to fun kid-friendly places will be offered. Half day and full day options are available in this drop-in program. Come drop in and groove with us at Camp Global Groove! A healthy snack will be provided. Lunch options are available for $10 from the Cheesecake factory. Camp Global Groove welcomes you to summer! Care until 6pm and babysitting options are available in home/hotel.  Call to schedule.

MINI GLOBAL GROOVE-EXPLORERS Ages 3-5-Pre-K-Kindergarten
Mini Global Groove is a creative program for younger campers. Campers get to explore the exciting world of cultural art, music, dance and language in a nurturing and playful environment. They also get to participate in drama, games, nature hikes, and art and cooking classes designed just for them, as well as the opportunity to enjoy free play with their new friends. Thecamper-counselor ratios for this program are 6:1 ensuring that every camper gets lots of special attention. This program is available in a half or full day option with on campus water play offered in the afternoon (water balloons, inflatable water slides and water games).

MY GLOBAL GROOVE–VOYAGERS Ages 6-10-Grades 1-5
My Global Groove welcomes older campers to explore our many musical, artistic and dance related option among a group of positive peers. In this program, campers have a chance to explore the exciting cultural artistic, musical, culinary and dance traditions from around the world in the morning and our outdoor summer fun in the afternoons.   Special field trips, actities and projects will be planned for older campers  based on their collective interests.  My Global Groove builds valuable interpersonal skills and offers the ability for campers to customize their own adventure program.   Daily Pickup will be from the Santa Monica Pool and Santa Monica Beach at 3:00. Call for other pickup options. This program includes participation in our daily culturalspecialties like fencing, cooking classes and Circus Arts and visits to the beach and pool with us and receive an optional weekly surfing lesson and an additional field trip.  Individual 1:1 surfing and boogey boarding lessons are available after 3:00  for an additional charge.

LEADERS IN TRAINING - (L.I.T.) Ages 14-16
Limited positions are available for responsible helpers with positive attitudes. Students will get to participate in our daily cultural adventures and afternoon field trips plus receive valuable mentoring and leadership training.   Each student participating for at least 2 weeks will get a personal letter of recommendation for future academic and work related activities.  C0mmunity Service credit is also a possiblity.  First Aid and CPR training is required.

Transportation back to campus provided for those enrolled in after care campers.

**Transportation back to campus available for non after care campers for $5/day.  Pick up time: 3:35
