Starting this July, 2010 we will also hold Summer Camp at Mother’s Beach in Marina del Rey, 90292

The VCPJA offers non-profit space, support, and encouragement for programs that nurture, guide, and provide safety for youth, promote a living wage and universal health care, and promote non-violence and conflict transformation. The Center and its collaborators strive for peace with justice, responsible consumption and production practices, and ecological respect.

Global Groove is thrilled to call the Venice Center for Peace with Justice and the Arts our new home. This special location offers a wide range of wonderful facilities for our electives and cultural exploration including a mirrored dance room for our dance and creative movement and skateboard ramp, a grassy enclosed quad for our martial arts and a separate early childhood classroom. For those Global Groovers who are sports-minded, we will be offering off campus trips to a local park Tuesdays and Thursdays during our second elective to play a variety of sports. Global Groove is committed to further beautifying and enhancing this already vibrant and feel good space to make it a great year round resource for west side families. We will be offering enhanced after school care (with transportation), quality academic support, unique enrichment classes and by-the-hour drop in child care.
In the coming weeks, we will be adding on to our lovely playground! We will turn the top of the play structure into a play house, we will add a tire swing, a tetherball and an outdoor art exploration center. We will be working on our own and with our campers to create murals, mosaics and landscaping.
